Your compensation UK: FAQ

If you are not sure as to whether or not you can claim, call us 24h free phone on 0800 731 4722. Alternatively, complete our claim form and our experienced staff will call you back and give you a clear and honest answer.

1. Can I claim for compensation?

Any person who has had an accident due to no fault of their own can claim for compensation. You have the opportunity to claim within 3 years from when the accident occurred. However, it is advisable not to wait until the last moment. After 3 years your chance to claim will expire.

2. Do I have to pay for anything?

If your claim is successful and you receive your compensation, the third party insurers are liable to pay for your solicitors costs.

3. What can I claim for?

You can claim for:
  • Personal injury and other costs connected with your accident
  • Loss of earnings or loss of your partners earnings
  • Care costs
  • Treatment costs. Prescription medicines, physiotherapy, rehabilitation etc
  • Travelling costs. Medical examinations, physiotherapist, hospitals etc
  • Costs of hire vehicles

4. How much is my compensation worth?

Each injury sustained in an accident is different. Some injuries may require more time for recovery and some less. To find out exactly how much your compensation may be worth, a medical examination may be arranged by your solicitors firm to determine the extent of any injuries. This will be conducted by a reputable medical expert.

5. How long might it take?

Your solicitors firm will deal with your claim acting in your best interest without any unnecessary delay. However it mainly depends on how quickly the third party admits liability. There is however, a time scale third party insurers have abide by when responding to claims. This usually isn’t a drawn out process.

6. Can I claim for compensation even if the third party left the scene of the accident or isn’t been insured?

In most cases this may be possible. The Motor Insurer Bureau is an organisation which makes provisions for this specific event occurring.

7. Can I claim even if I’m not insured?

Yes, only if the accident wasn’t your fault.

8. Can I still receive compensation if the accident was partially my fault?

Yes. It will depend on what basis liability is agreed. Your compensation may be smaller depending on the proportion of fault attributed to you.

9. Do all claims go to Court?

The overwhelming majority of the claims are settled without need to ever go to court.

10. I have decided to use your service. What should I do now?

Call us 24h free phone on 0800 731 4722 or complete our claim form and we will call you straight back. Depending on where you are at the moment you can call our office in England, or alternatively call our Poland office on 004881 5241531.
